A. Richard Lemos, 75, passed away Thursday, in the Highlander Rehabilitation Center, Fall River, after a long illness.
Born in Fall River, a son of the late Albano Lemos and the late Lucy (Mattos) Lemos, he lived in Fall River most of his life. Richard worked as a contractor in the area for many years. He also owned and operated the Plant Mansion, in Somerset, during the 1970s, and as well worked as a tool maker and antique dealer.
He is survived by two sons, Michael Lemos of Tiverton, RI and Scott Lemos of Riverside, RI; two daughters, Susan Lemos of Portsmouth, and Chery Lemos of Taunton; a sister Pauline Almeida; six grandchildren, and one great grandchild.
Family will receive visitors on Wednesday, from 9-11AM, in the Hathaway Home for Funerals, 1813 Robeson St., Fall River. A prayer service will be held at 11, with burial to follow in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Fall River. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
