Jean E. (Gadbois) Liebl, 90, of Swansea, passed away on Friday, June 16, 2017, at the Residence of Cedar Dell, in Dartmouth. She was the wife of the late George X. Liebl.

Jean was born in Fall River, the daughter of the late Joseph and Estelle (Brophy) Gadbois. Jean was a graduate of Joseph Case High School class of 1944. Mrs. Liebl worked at Charlton Memorial Hospital as a functions coordinator for over twenty years, retiring in 1989. Jean enjoyed swimming, gardening, entertaining and feeding family and friends.  Mrs. Liebl cherished the time she spent with her family especially her grand and great grandchildren.

Survivors are three daughters: Gail Ollerhead and her husband Douglas of Warren, RI; Donna Marie Liebl of Shelburne Falls, MA; Susan Dunn and her husband Robert of Lakeville, MA; five grandchildren: Kristen O’Hearn of Swansea; Jason Ollerhead of Swansea; Donovan Dunn of Marion, MA; Jessica Mills of Mystic, CT; Jessica McCauley of California; nine great grandchildren: Shaun, Meghan, Dhiren, Shaili, Ted, Andrew, James, Jacoby and Aria; a brother: James Gadbois of Plymouth, MA; along with many nieces and nephews.  She was the mother of late George-Ann Liebl and sister of the late Delia Blanchette, Marguerite Hiner, Janice Heneghen, Albertine St. Pierre, Evelyn Santerre, Yvonne Gadbois, Alfred, Alexander, Albert and Joseph Gadbois.

Funeral Information

Her family will receive relatives and friends on Wednesday, June 21, 2017, from10 to 11am, with a Funeral Service following at 11am, in the Hathaway Community Home for Funerals, 900 Buffinton Street, Somerset, burial to follow in Mount Hope Cemetery, Swansea.
